A5 East
Welcome to the consultation website for A5 East Logistics Park – a proposal to regenerate a former quarry site and deliver high-quality employment space, meeting the growing demand for logistics in the area and creating around 800 new jobs.
Ashfield Land (Harborough) Limited is bringing forward these plans on a former quarry site south of Gibbet Lane and east of the A5 . The work to extract materials from this site is now complete and Ashfield Land is looking to regenerate it to deliver much-needed new jobs and attract new investment into the area.
Our proposals will deliver over 58,000 sq. m of new commercial space, set within a sustainable and high-quality development in the heart of the UK’s ‘Golden Triangle’ for logistics.
November 2025 update – planning application submitted
We have submitted an outline planning application on our proposals for A5 East Logistics Park to both Harborough District Council (HDC) and Rugby Borough Council (RBC). An identical planning application was submitted to both councils due to the fact the site sits across the boundary of both local authority areas.
Ahead of submitting the planning application, we held a public consultation on the draft proposals in the summer of 2025.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. All comments submitted during the consultation were considered by the design team ahead of finalising the proposals. A summary of feedback and the applicant’s responses is available in the ‘Statement of Local Engagement’, which was included as part of the outline planning application.
